A. [Autograph Letter Signed] Two pages, 4to, fold marks, good condition. "Private & Confidential ... Several friends in London & the provinces suggested the desirability of procuring a more direct personal interest of subscribers in the Jewish World [underlined] newspaper, & the Limited Liability Act. It is felt that by the proprietory consisting of Jews spread over the Kingdom, the paper would really become the representative organ of the community" 2 He goes on to discuss the periodical and its audience, and hopes of improving and increasing circulation. He then tries to enlist the correspondent's help to get subscribers and investors, offering a commission. B. [Autograph Note Signed] "Enclosed I have the pleasure of sending you proof of your letter which please correct and return at your leisure."
