([undated]) "I smoked a cigar with Prince Albert last night & he gave me a capital account of the new piece that I want you to be kind enough to let me bring to partner of my expences tonight. / If you can do so without keeping any £.S.D out of the house be kind enough to leave my name at the door. / I want you also to add to my obligations by lending me your name for £100 for 3 Months as I don't want to ask my new master ["Punch" owner, making this 1841?] for an advance & I am unexpectedly called upon to dub up - . . ."
