On leaf of laid paper trimmed to 21.5 x 17.5 cm. In fair condition, lightly aged and worn, with a couple of words at the right slightly trimmed away. On reverse, in Woollett's hand: 'J. R. Kirby Esqr:' At foot in pencil: 'Bill in the Autograph of Woollett the engraver'. Reads, in Woollett's hand: 'J. R. Kirby Esqr: | to Wm Woollett Dr | 1782 | April 26 - To remainder of the subscription for the Battles at La Hogue & Boyne £1 .. s1 d- | framing & Glazing Do [£]2 .. [d]2 - | packing Case [s]2 .. [d]6'. Beneath this, in another hand (Kirby's?), the total of £3 5s 6d, and 'Copy sent by Mr | May 16 1785'. Woollett died at his London home, as the result of an accident, on 23 May 1785. Kirby's identity is unclear: he may perhaps be a relation of the London publisher R. S. Kirby.?>
