16pp., 4to. Unbound and unstitched pamphlet. On aged and worn paper. The first page has the Wesley stamp, and is headed 'Specimen Of First Seven Plates' It also carries nine lines describing the 'object of the author'. The seven plates are accompanied by captions, and there is also an explanation regarding them.

On leaf of laid paper trimmed to 21.5 x 17.5 cm. In fair condition, lightly aged and worn, with a couple of words at the right slightly trimmed away. On reverse, in Woollett's hand: 'J. R. Kirby Esqr:' At foot in pencil: 'Bill in the Autograph of Woollett the engraver'. Reads, in Woollett's hand: 'J. R. Kirby Esqr: | to Wm Woollett Dr | 1782 | April 26 - To remainder of the subscription for the Battles at La Hogue & Boyne £1 .. s1 d- | framing & Glazing Do [£]2 .. [d]2 - | packing Case [s]2 .. [d]6'.

4pp., 12mo. In very good condition, on lightly-aged paper. The letter is addressed to 'My dear Father'. He begins by thanking him for his letter: 'I can picture the long-nailed Neb. sitting down to answer your request for an autograph. Strange, that you should have been hearing of Vaughan Williams just at that time!' He reports that he has been 'doing many poems for The British Weekly. The Editor saw something of mine & asked me to send whatever I liked. And his nonconformist readers do not seem to jib.

Quarto. Unpaginated (circa 240 pages?). 1789 lots. Numerous plates. Good, in worn contemporary olive cloth binding, with black label. Front wrap, printed in black and red, bound in at rear. Most lots priced in manuscript. Many fine bindings, privately printed, association and Kelmscott Press items. Preceded by four-page Prefatory Note giving a resume of the collection.

One page, on rough-edged grey wove paper, roughly nine inches by six wide. An attractive production of twenty-two lines, with ornamental rules top and bottom, headed 'This Day is Published, | IN TWO VOLUMES OCTAVO, | PRICE ONE GUINEA IN BOARDS, | Monographia Apum Angliae; | [...] | By WILLIAM KIRBY, B.A. F.L.S. | RECTOR of Barham in Suffolk. | [...]'. According to BBTI John White traded between 1785 and 1816 and Stephen Couchman between 1774 and 1825.
