2pp., 8vo. In fair condition, on aged and worn paper. He begins by asking Lackington to send a volume through his brother, and take back two volumes in exchange. 'I gave you 11S for them a few Weeks since, & tho' they are not one penny the worse, yet I cannot but expect you will allow yourself a fair profit'. He continues: 'As your allowance to the purchaser of Books is great & worth attention - I will beg you to take the trouble to send me your selling price of the following Books, as well as the price a retail Bookseller would sell them at, as I might have occasion soon for many of each I mean new Books, viz:' A list of follows 41 books follows: 15 of them Latin, 13 Greek, 7 French, and 6 English books follows. The letter concludes: 'If the prices of the above should make it worth my while to pay ready money for them tho' I shall not receive it myself for twelve months perhaps I shall deal with you for the same'. He sends his 'Compts to Mrs. Lackington'.
