English playwright, famous for his series of Aldwych farces. In the letter he says he will be pleased to sit 'for the Bookman portrait'. 'I come up to town pretty frequently, however, and I daresay there is no desperate hurry, is there? I shall be in town again in about a fortnight's time, if that will do.
