One page, 12mo, good condition. He thanks him for his letter, and expresses mutual enjoyment of Brett-James's stay. The latter can consult his files whenever he wants. He goes on I am interested to hear that the Encyclopedia Americana have commissioned you to write a number of short biographical articles. It may be worth menttioning that you can find a number of sidelights on Jack Dill, some of them rather important, in my Memoirs [underlined] - also at least one on 'Pug' Ismay. With additional note in Anthony Brett-James's hand, c.8 x 8cm: Liddell Hart died at Medmenham on Jan 29 1970 while correcting proofs of his Histy of the Second World War [title undelrined], soon after returning from a holiday with Monty at Bournemouth.
