Ownership or authorship inscription at foot of title page: 'Albert E. Bullock | 45 Fairlawn Av: | Chiswick.' With occasional manuscript emendations, apparently in the same hand. The 'Index to Contents' lists the ten parts as follows: Introduction; Early life and travels; Professional Career [Gothic Churches &c; Classic & Italian Works; Architectural Gardening; later Gothic Works, Schools &c; Houses of Parliament]; Conclusion; List of principal Events, Designs, &c; List of References arranged in order of importance. A well-written and useful appreciation, with six-page chronology and two pages of references. Albert Edward Bullock published several books with an architectural interest.
