Extracted from six Cape of Good Hope land documents. In good overall condition, on paper with minor signs of age and wear. ONE: Signature ('W. G. Cameron') of Sir William Gordon Cameron (1827-1913), as 'Administrator [amended in manuscript from 'Governor'] and High Commissioner'. On part of document dated 5 December 1892. Stamped in ink twice, over the signatures of the two witnesses, one of whom is Surveyor-General John Templer Horne. With embossed 'Public Seal of the Colony of the Cape of Good Hope'. TWO: Signature ('Henry B Loch') of Henry Brougham Loch (1827-1900), 1st Baron Loch, as 'Governor and High Commissioner'. On part of document dated [day?] December 1894. With embossed Cape seal. THREE: Signature ('W H Goodenough') of Lieutenant-General Sir William Howley Goodenough (1833-1898), as 'Officer Administering the Government and High Commissioner'. On part of document dated 26 August 1896. With signatures of two witnesses, including Templer Horne, and embossed Cape seal. FOUR: Signature ('George Cox') of Major-General George Cox, as 'Officer administering the Government & acting High Commissioner'. On part of document dated 29 November 1898. With signatures of two witnesses, including Templer Horne, and embossed Cape seal. FIVE: Signature ('E S. Brook') of Major-General E. S. Brook, as 'Officer administering the Government'. On part of document dated 6 October 1904. With signatures of Arthur J. Fuller and the Surveyor-General, and embossed Cape seal. SIX: Signature ('Gladstone') of Herbert John Gladstone (1854-1930), 1st Viscount Gladstone. On part of document dated from Capetown, 3 February 1911. With signatures of Abraham Fischer (1850-1913), Minister of Lands (and former Prime Minister of the Orange River Colony), and Athelstan Hall Cornish-Bowden, Surveyor-General, and fragmentary remains of wax seal, on red wafer. Also included is a Typed Letter Signed to 'Mr. van Rede van Oudtshoorn' from Lieut-Col. E. H. Davidson, Private Secretary to the Governor-General. From the King's House, Durban; 28 July 1932. Reads: 'I have pleasure in sending to you herewith, at His Excellency's request, two autographs of the late Lord Loch for your collection. | Will you kindly acknowledge receipt to me at Government House, Pretoria.'
