25pp., cr. 8vo, not bound, sewn but thread broken and gatherings loose, last page nearly detached, titlepage/wraps grubby, some foxing. The titlepage/front cover is inscribed "W. Salt Brassington, Esq., F.S.A., with the kindest regards of Richard Savage." Keywords on the title ("The Shakespeare Relics", etc ) have been underlined in pink and the word "Priced" added.Ricxhard Savage has also added the prices fetched by the Shakespeare Relics( lot nos 92-122 ), giving running and final totals. The only purchasers named are the Birthplace Trust for the "David Garrick" and "Sir John and Lady Barnard" and "Edwd Fox" for the "Portrait of a Girl" ("Said to be Judith, Shakespeare's sister"). Savage has signed again after the total of £130.9.6". Richard Savage was the secretary and librarian of the Shakespeare Birthplace. W. Salt Brassington was the author of a "History of the Art of Bookbinding" and author and editor of other works.
