[Printed] Prospectus and Subscription List for the Building of The Moberley Library

Four pages, bifolium, 4to, fold marks, mainly good condition. Text comprises a letter from W.A. Fearon, Secretary to the Committee who conveys the information to subscribers that Butterfield's plans have been approved (he tendered at £2300) are available for the view of Wykehamists, giving details of the size of the room. This letter, asking for payment also presumably by the laggards, occupies two thirds of the first page. The rest comprises a "List of Subscriptions" divided according to where they were received (Oxford, Winchester, etc), total received £2271.14.0. Subscribers include New College (naturally), and many individuals (Lord Rayleigh, Christopher Wordsworth, Rev. W. Awdry, Sir Roudell Palmer, two Austen-Leighs, two Moberlys, and many others. Names and amount listed.
