Folio, 2 pp. 38 lines of text. Clear and complete. Fair, on browned high-acidity paper, with slight chipping to extremities and slight internal wear.To be folded into packet. Docketed 'Recd 22d. October 1855 | [initialed signature] | Doorga Churm Curr - | - v - | Ob Mullick | Letter from Mr Fisher -'. Difficult hand. He acknowledges to various documents relating to the case, as well as 'two Bank of Bengal notes', in a writ of Fieri Facias. Explains his requirements ('I must have one man with me to Gard [sic] my property'). Towards conclusion writes 'I beg you will take my hard case into your kind consideration and of 100 Rupees to be sent to me - on my seizing the property at Caunpore the people imployed to gard [sic] the property will be the complainants people and not mind [sic] as I know no one at Caunpore that I might employ with safety - people to watch and gard [sic] the property should be my people, taken with me and people that I might have confidence in.' He 'cannot be responsible for the property' unless his 'people' are in charge, 'as I know nothing of the plaintiff or his people'.
