[Estelle Roberts, spiritualist medium.] Typescript titled 'The Aeolian Wall. Trance Address by Red Cloud', apparently written on the eve of the Second World War.

10pp., 4to. Original top-copy typescript. On ten leaves held together by a brass stud. Very good, on lightly-aged paper. Typed at end: 'Copyright of Estelle Roberts.' Begins: 'I am very happy to come here to-night to talk to you. While waiting to entrance the meduim I heard these words. "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now," and listening to those words, my thoughts dwelt automatically on this past year of your existence in matter.' There is a heavy Christian element to the text, which appears to have been written in the build-up to the Second World War: 'I sent a message through to your world, that message was, "There will be no War," and there was only one man who put that into print for me, only one man who was brave enough to face the world, I call him "John the Scribe". Yes, he is here now in your midst.' Melvin Harris, in his 'Investigating the Unexplained' (2003), states what are claimed to be photographs of 'Red Cloud', in fact show Roberts dressed up in a feathered war-bonnet.
