The 'Programme for the Evening', including 'Photographs of Saturn, the Moon, and the Crater of Copernicus', copied by 'Mr. Berry' from results by 'John Hartnup, Esq., of the Liverpool Observatory'; also a lecture by George Hamilton on 'The Gyroscope, and Rotatory Motion', and another by Dr Edwards on 'The Chemistry of Bessemer's Iron Process'; also details of 'objects of interest' to be exhibited during the evening; with 'An attiring room for ladies'.
