The recipient is beyond doubt: the two men were friends with shared interests, and among the Driberg papers are letters from Hamilton signed 'Gérard'). Driberg is delighted to hear that Hamilton is feeling better: 'Would you be allowed to come over to Bradwell to lunch with me? If so, I might manage next Saturday. I could call with the car. Drop me a line at the House of Commons; [last four words underlined] that is the best address'.
