Frontispiece portrait engraving of author by E. Finden from painting by Livesy; three engravings by Finden from drawings by R. B. Harraden. Nineteenth-century leather binding; marbled endpapers. Tight copy, but dusty and with staining, particularly to binding and prelims. Scarce in this edition; no copy in British Library. Dedicated to William Wilberforce.
