Printed in black on two sheets of watermarked laid paper, attached to make a long panel, 84 x 39 cm. Image clear, on worn and aged paper, with minor staining at head (not affecting image), and slight repair to reverse. In bottom left-hand corner: 'G. Herreijns invent. Ao. 1773.' Above this is printed a 19.7 cm rule, marked 1 to 11, to give an idea of scale. In centre at foot: 'Klauberi, Cath., Sermi. et Revdmi. Archiep. et Elect. Trevir: et Episc. Aug.uti et Sermi. Elect. et Com. Pal nec non Cels Princ. Kampidun. Chalc. Aulici, Sculp. Aug. Vindel.' An unusual, and probably fantastic, representation of what would appear to be a coronation or royal wedding progress. Engraved in great detail, with no background. Pulling the car to the right, and attended by two men in classical attire, the six plumed horses, 32 x 11 cm, figure on the right-hand half of the panel. The huge four-wheeled car itself, approximately 37 x 34 cm, is on the left-hand half of the panel, an ornate mass of classical motifs, shields, eagles, a cherub, scallop-shell, winged figure, medallions, fruit, classical maidens, trumpet, drapery (with 'MT' motif), topped by a huge crown on three arched columns, beneath which sits a crowned queen with sceptre, orb and complacent king, with nine courtiers beneath.
