In 1872 Saint Saens composed Menuet en Valse op. 56, which he dedicated to Felix's wife, Sarah Levy. The letter reads: Sunday My good friend , A thousand pardons for not having written to you sooner. I have started to work again and this makes me the most unreliable correspondent in the world. We will not come for dinner.
