Each of the twelve engravings is accompanied by a leaf carrying a page of letterpress with an illustrative quotation from Scott's work. First leaf with printed page listing four works 'Designed, Etched, and Published by G. Cruikshank', with prices; printed title; final leaf with printed page listing six priced 'Works Illustrated by George Cruikshank. Published by James Robins and Co.' In original brown printed wraps ('Price Two Shillings. | India Proofs, Four Shillings.'). On back wrap: 'Preparing for Publication, Scraps and Sketches, Part III.' At foot of each plate 'Designed Etched & published by George Cruikshank - Novr. 1830'. Scarce in any state, and rarer still in the original wraps. No copy at the British Library. Only copies on COPAC at the National Art Library, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, University of London, Manchester and National Library of Scotland.
