Autograph Letter Signed ('Nina Kandinsky') in French from the widow of the Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky to the collector and publisher Hans Juda, praising an exhibition catalogue and giving details of how to meet in Paris.

1p., 8vo. In fair condition: lightly-aged and creased with light wear at head. Stapled to air mail envelope (lacking stamp), addressed to Juda at The Penthouse, 10 Palace Gate, London. She thanks him for the catalogue, which is 'très bien fait'. She thinks back 'avec plaisir' to her stay in London, and will be very happy to receive him at her Paris address, whose telephone number she gives. Postscript reads: 'J'èspere [sic] que l'exposition a une bonne presse? [signed] N. K.'

The magazine consists of 48 pages, octavo, in original yellow printed wraps. Dogeared, and on aged paper, and with the grubby wraps quite heavily worn. 12mo publicity handbill loosely inserted. Rilke's contribution, dated 'Soglio, am Tage Mariae Himmelfahrt 1919', is on pp 14-20.

Good to very good, sl. chipped dj, in plain slipcase, INSCRIBED by Nolde"Aus Herrn Granville dies Kleine Lebensbilds von Emil Nolde mit [?] Neujahr[?]". ALSO ENCLOSED: Typed Letter Signed, Nolde to Granville, Seebull, 8 Jan. 1949, in German, one page, folio, in which he says (rough translation): "A small book called 'My own Life' is finished in its second extended edition. I'll send it to you. It deals with my early childhood years, which surely are of some interest to you. Three further ones were written but it takes a lot of effort to overcome the difficulties of publication.
