Good firm inscription on 19.5 x 16 cm letterhead. In good condition, lightly aged and creased, with slight rust staining to top left-hand corner from paperclip. Inscription reads: 'Sincere best wishes | Don Ameche'.

Signature on piece of paper, 8 x 5.5cm, tipped onto to a detached album leaf, 17 x 11cm, good condition. Album leaf headed "The Holder of All the World's Cycle Records".

Signature on piece of paper, 9.5 x 6.5cm, tipped onto to a detached album leaf, 17 x 11cm,good condition. Album leaf incorrectly headed "Winner of the Tour de France - 1932 [for 1931]".

8vo: 1 p. Good, laid down on the reverse of the front free endpaper of a copy of Andre Maurois's 'The Life of Sir Alexander Fleming' (London, 2nd imp., 1959). Reads 'Thank you very much. We would be delighted to be with you on Nov 12th. I think all is well with me now & I am off to Edinburgh on Monday. | Yours sincerely | [signed] Alec. Fleming'. The context is explained on pp. 265-6 of the book. 'In October 1953 he was due to make a speech at the opening of 'Les Journees Medicales' in Nice. Two days before the appointed date, he woke up with a high fever. He himself diagnosed pneumonia.

Inscribed "Daniel Day-Lewis" with underlining and a few notes in his hand. Not listed among his roles on relevant websites. B. Two photographs, one with two duplicate images of Day-Lewis when quite young (Bedales tie?), 9 x 14cm; the other, almost full length holding baby on his shoulder [his son was born in 1995], inscribed by him on reverse, "Happy dressed father with unconscious naked son | I:x:95", 12 x 18cm. C.

Signature in felt tip pen on the half-title of his book "The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum". On the reverse is a printed list of his books.
