On one side of a piece of wove paper. Dimensions of paper roughly 25.5 x 35.5 cm; dimensions of image 23.5 x 35 cm. Image clear and entire on lightly aged and creased paper with a little spotting. The margins of the print have been trimmed, resulting in the loss at the foot of the leaf of the printer's slug ('Printed and Published by G. Drake, 12, Houghton-Street, Clare-market.'). On the right of the engraving the Whig Prime Minister Earl Grey and Lord Chancellor Brougham are attempting to get a large rolled up carpet labelled 'IRISH CHURCH BILL' into a tottering 'CABINET OF WHIG CURIOSITIES', in front of which sits a stupified figure. Four fashionably-dressed men look on, one of them commenting that he will 'join the Tories our secret patrons', as 'no public man is bound to party, for where the purse is longest there he seeks for pay'. To the left a short Billy Blubber [William IV], dressed as a schoolboy and dragging a toy horse, walks arm in arm with a huge bloated bishop with pustulating face, who holds a 'CUP OF ABOMINATION' in his right hand and a purse of £500,000 in his left. Billy is making a speech to the bishop, whom he addresses as 'thou rib of my body, thou comfort of my soul'. The bishop's reply begins, 'My dearly beloved beautiful Billy boy, dont alarm your sweet self on that account, for while we have a quantum suff of bullets, bayonets, butchers, bullying Bishops, and blessed bombshells, we have no occasion to fear. Therefore, Billy, dont snivel any more or you will make me snivel too -'.
