2pp., 4to. On two leaves of aged paper, with loss to margins caused by the items being torn out of the volume in which they were bound. Docketted at head of first page: 'No D. D. in name of James Stewart Rodney Miss from 59 to 69. The letter begins: 'I have been a Customer of the Bank for a number of years. In 1864 I returned to Scotland but came back here in 1865 to try and save some of the large amounts due me by the Planters, and to see what I could do with Several Parcels of Cotton belonging to me, and seized by the U.S. Government.

Five photographs relating to the cult series 'The Avengers' feature on five pages, including three photographs of 'Mrs Catherine Gale' (Honor Blackman), one with 'John Steed' (Patrick McNee), and two of sets (one 'a special two-tier section'). Scarce: the only copy on COPAC at the National Library of Scotland. From the J. P. Hawker papers.

Letter One: 2 pp, 12mo. 23 lines. Good. Docketed '3.5.26 | copd.' He thanks him for his letters, and has 'sent the verses to Sanderson'. The copies of the 'Quilter publications' that Bennett needed for the writing of an article in the 'Music Teacher' have not arrived. Asks for information on a 'volume of songs by Sibelius'. 'If they are available could they be included in the Quilter parcel'. He is 'writing about Sibelius for publication in July, & want to be as complete as possible'. Letter Two: 2 pp, 4to. 23 lines. Good, with staple holes to one corner.

On one side of a piece of vellum, dimensions 24.5 x 31 cm. Neatly folded to make six rectangles. Entirely legible on discoloured vellum, with one small hole (not affecting text) caused by wear at one fold. The body of the document is printed over nine lines, with the specific information added in manuscript. Also in manuscript at the head: '[By] Sir George B Rodney Bart. KB.
