1p., 12mo. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper, with slight discoloration at head and evidence of previous mounting on reverse. Docketed on reverse. The letter reads: 'Dear Sir, | Knowing your fondness for statistical enquiries, I have thought the accompanying copy of the last annual return of the Commerce & Navigation of the Unites States, might have some interest for you. - | Very truly & faithfully Yrs, | Edward Everett'. Note: 'Everett, one of the most famous American orators, is most remembered for his oration at Gettysburg on Nov.

Both issues 8pp., folio. Both in fair condition, on lightly-aged newspaper, with minor creasing and wear to edges. No. 2 has an on the cover a 'Photograph by John Deakin' of a black man, illustrating a symposium on apartheid titled 'The Man Beside You'; also the short story 'Wine' by Doris Lessing, and 'a short except from "Who Cares"' by Elizabeth Smart. No. 3 has a still from Fellini's 'Nights of Cabiria' on the cover, and features a symposium on the Wolfenden Report by the editors, titled 'Tis Pity She's A Whore', with 'Comment by Victor Musgrave'.

3pp., 16mo. 52 lines. Bifolium. Very good, on lightly-aged paper. Addressed by Hawtrey, on reverse of second leaf, to the 'United States Hotel'.

1p., 12mo. Good, with the blank second leaf of the bifolium having slight staining from mount, and having laid down on it a newspaper cutting headed 'DEATH OF SIR C. EASTLAKE', docketd 'E & T Dec 26/65'. The note reads: 'Sir Chas Eastlake presents his compts. to Mr Whitaker & begs to inform him that Mr Millais' address is No. 7. Cromwell Place | Kensington. S.W. | 7. Fitzroy Sqr. (London) | Feby 5 1863.'

Architect (1880-1939), son of Sir Aston Webb, designer of Admiralty Arch, the Victoria Memorial, etc. All ten items very good. Five docketed and six bearing R.S.A. stamp. All ten signed 'Maurice E. Webb'. An interesting and important correspondence, mainly concerning the renovation of the R.S.A.'s Adelphi building.
