1p., 8vo. In fair condition, on lightly aged and worn paper, with one short closed tear along a crease line. Docketted on reverse: 'Majr Williams | 17 Sept 1812'. The letter begins with a paragraph of instructions regarding the payment of a sum of money to his sister. The final paragraph reads: 'This Batt. is at present in the Queen for a passage to Guetania which place we are going to attac [sic] with about 5000 Spaniards and the two Battalions of Marines - our own Trooper is full of Spaniards.' He concludes by sending his best regards to the recipient's father.

Both items 4to,1 p. Both items good, on lightly aged and foxed paper. Both bifoliums, with the second item addressed, with broken wafer, on verso of second leaf. Both docketed in pencil in a nineteenth-century hand. Letter One (nineteen lines of text): He is grateful to Grenier for sending 'le procès verbal de l'installation de votre Cour'. Grenier was right to think that Jaubert would be interested in 'l'historique d'une cérémonie qui rend aux Cours la dignité convenable à la magistrature, et qui vous touche particulièrement'.

The secretarial letter (docketed in purple 'Repondre le 1r mars 1914'): The 'cliché Durocher', which appeared 'dans le No d'Avril 1913, page 62, et qui doit passer aussi dans le Dictionnaire [des ex-libris français] Wiggishof [...] a été designé par M. du Roure de Paulin'. Protat's letter: 'Le cliché Durocher était bien à l'imprimerie nous l'avons retrouvé. Il n'était pas à la place qu'indiquait le registre.' He apologises for having 'inutilement derangé' Martin
