3pp., 8vo. Bifolium. Good, on lightly-aged paper. Aldrich is writing from Barnes, and Colvin writes that his address 'takes me back sixty years & more, when my people rented (for the winter of 1855-6) what was then Barnes Manor, - the house & park in a bend of the New River belonging to Lord Truro, - and has since been broken up and converted into Barnes Park.' He declines to visit Aldrich and see the pictures he mentions. 'Your account of them, at least of two of them, is so full & exact as to make a visit scarcely necessary: and these Low-country masters of the 17th century.

79pp., 8vo. In stout, thumb-indexed diary for 1930. In fair condition, on aged paper, in heavily worn binding, lacking spine and bowed by the excess material it contains. Ownership inscription by Richardson on flyleaf: 'A E Richardson ARA | Avenue House, | Ampthill Beds. | St. Catherine's College Cambridge, | 1939-1940 | University College, London.' Richardson published a number of works on architectural matters, but nothing on the history of art.

2pp., 4to. Fair, on lightly-aged paper. He thanks her for her 'kind letter and transcription letters', and will be 'grateful to receive prints of your drawings by William Havell. Truly, those at the V. & A. are not very good, and I feel sure that there are much finer ones in existence.' He was 'amused by Auntie Jane's letter to her nephew', and will 'try and come down to Reading to see your Havells later on'. He would also like to see those of 'Mrs. Wilson'. He considers 'Luke Havell's children - a very gifted family'.

Manuscript receipt for £1000 from Lawrence Squibb, 'being for the furnishing and providing severall tents for his Ma[jesti]es: service', signed by William Bowles and Robert Child, Masters of His Majesty's Tents.

On one side of a piece of 12mo laid paper. Fourteen lines of text, beneath the date, with the two signatures in the right-hand margin. On aged and worn paper, with bottom right-hand corner worn away, slightly affecting both signatures, but with no apparent loss of text.
