3pp., 8vo. Bifolium. Good, on lightly-aged paper. Aldrich is writing from Barnes, and Colvin writes that his address 'takes me back sixty years & more, when my people rented (for the winter of 1855-6) what was then Barnes Manor, - the house & park in a bend of the New River belonging to Lord Truro, - and has since been broken up and converted into Barnes Park.' He declines to visit Aldrich and see the pictures he mentions. 'Your account of them, at least of two of them, is so full & exact as to make a visit scarcely necessary: and these Low-country masters of the 17th century.

1p., 12mo. Good, on lightly-aged paper. He has been 'requested by Mr. L. Veneaux to desire you to return the Picture (Boulonaise) which was delivered at your Gallery at the last Winter Exhibition but being a French Picture was not Exhibited, but allowed to remain for the French one'. He has already made an application 'in Berners Street and Mr. Gambart said the proper place to apply to was at the Gallery.' Graves claims 'L. Veneaux' as a misprint for 'V. Vemaux' of 30 Piccadilly, who exhibited 'Souvenir of Eguihen, near Boulogne-sur-mer' at the Royal Academy in 1853.

Having received the unnamed recipient's letter of the previous day, Northwick will be 'most happy to give effect to your wishes by granting free access to my Pictures to you, & your Daughter, whenever it may be convenient to you to call at Connaught Place'. If the recipient calls before noon Northwick will probably 'have the pleasure of shewing them to you', if he comes after noon, or Northwich 'shd. happen to be from home, my Servants shall receive directions to admit you to see the Paintings'.

Mimeographed typed list of Sir James Colquhoun's china ('presently stored with Messrs Wylie & Lochhead, Ltd., Glasgow'): Folio, 14 + [i] pp. Attached with pink ribbon. First entries headed 'Antique China in Press in Morning Room'. With lawyer's signature dated 1908. TWO. Manuscript 'List of China purchased by Mrs Evelyn Carmichael for her step mother Lady Colquhoun of Luss & being half the china at Rossdhu'. 4to, 20 pp; and folio, 7 pp. Listing 380 items. THREE. Two letters (totalling 4to, 7pp), both signed 'Hugh R Wallace'.

Title continued from above "..."in fine condition among which may be names, A MAGDALEN, CARACCI, A Grand Gallery Picture, Landscape and Figures, Very fine, VERMULEN, A Sea Storm, Vernet . . .". Pencil NOTE on front cover "Call for | letters | Herald | Office | James" (perhaps James = James Izod but I don't see why he should have written such a note on somebody's catalogue).

Vulliamy (1780-1854) was a London clockmaker. Allnutt (1773-1863) was a wealthy wine merchant, a patron of Constable and Turner with a noted collection of paintings. Reads 'B L Vulliamy | Jn Allnutt, Clapham | 28 Nov. 1843'. From a collection of material relating to the Artists' General Benevolent Fund.
