Seventy numbered paragraphs, divided into two main parts, 'A Summary of the National Health Service Act' (itself divided into five parts: Central Administration; Hospital and Specialist Services; Health Services provided by Local Health Authorities; General Medical and Dental Services, Pharmaceutical Services and Supplementary Ophthalmic Services; Mental Health Services) and 'The Profession and the Act'. Scarce: no copy traced either on COPAC or OCLC WorldCat.

123pp., folio. Paginated. In contemporary brown tooled calf, with two metal clasps, and a metal ring at foot of rear board. Internally good and tight, on aged paper, in worn binding. A fair copy, neatly written out in a mid-eighteenth-century chancery hand, with the body of text on each page bordered by two vertical red lines. The Free Grammar School of King Edward VI in Berkhamsted was founded by John Incent, Dean of St Paul's, in 1541.

The collection in good condition, on lightly-aged paper, with each item carrying a punch-hole in top left-hand corner of first page. Letter One: in manuscript; to Cross; 3 September 1949; on 'Edvard Hambro' letterhead; 8vo, 2 pp. Affectionate letter on Cross's retirement from the Registry of the International Court. '[...] I find the Peace Palace curiously empty without you. I am going to miss your visits to my room and mine to yours.

8vo, xvi + 710 + [iv] pp. Tight copy, with foxing to top edge and endpapers. Bumped corners. In worn dustwrapper with closed tears at head and tail of spine. Inscribed on front free endpaper to 'Stanley T. Cross, with cordial regards and thanks for good collaboration for three years. [signed] E Hambro. The Hague, September 49.'

8vo, xiii + 413 pp. Tight copy, in fair condition, on lightly-aged paper, and with sprinkle of foxing along top edge. In worn dustwrapper, with light fraying and closed tears along top and bottom. Inscribed by one of the authors on front free endpaper 'To Stanley Cross with the kindest regards, Edvard Hambro December 4, 1947.'

8vo: 42 pp (paginated 131 to 172). Stitched pamphlet. In original printed wraps, with title and illustration. Two photographic illustrations in text and forty-eight numbered illustrations by Zaborowska. Good, on aged paper, with light notes in blue pencil on pp. 144 and 145. Blanchard explains that Quy, a doctor from Hanoi, came to Paris to further his medical studies. He had a position under Blanchard 'au Laboratoire de Parasitologie'.
