All five items rolled up. ONE: Cloth-backed map. Title in large coloured fancy letters at head: 'PLAN OF TREVAUNANCE COOMBE'. Dimensions: 99 x 353 cm (3 1/4 feet x 11 1/2 feet). 'Scale | 4 FATHOMS TO 1 INCH'. Oval stamp of Henderson & Son, Civil Engineers, Truro, in bottom right-hand corner, with manuscript date 31 March 1885. Drawn in black ink, and coloured in blue, grey, brown and red. In fair condition, aged and worn. Striking and attractive, with neat lettering, fancy compass (with projected line marked 'MAGNETIC | 1881'), and ruled border with decorative corners.

Printed on one side of a piece of wove paper, dimensions 22 x 14 cm. Text clear and complete, on aged and lightly-spotted paper, with minor wear to extremities. Headed 'Under the Patronage of the Nobility and Gentry.' 48 lines of text, including positive quotations from the Observer, Christian Advocate, Sunday Times and Albion and Star. Describes ten aspects of the exhibition, lettered A to K, including the conveyance of the ore 'to the surface by a --- (G) --- POWERFUL HYDRAULIC MACHINE, first in kibbles, through a perpendicular shaft, and lastly in waggons drawn upon an inclined plane'.

The two items rolled into tubes. The 'Crown Deep Ltd. Insurance Plan' carbon printed on one side of a piece of cloth roughly 44 x 102 cm. In good condition: slightly discoloured and frayed. The keyed entries range from '1 No. 1 Headgear & all appurtenances' to '77 Shed near Feedwater tanks', and include '69 Coolie Compound at Dam' and '57 Stable Boy's House'. The table of results of the 'milling tests', approximately 37 x 74 cm, is clear and complete on discoloured paper with closed tears at head repaired with archival tape.
