Second Report: viii + 276pp. Final Report: x + 157pp. All three aged and worn, with the final signature and back cover of the First Report detached, and the Final Report lacking its back cover, and with front cover detached and damage to last few leaves. Second Report with withdrawn label of Owen College, Manchester. The three volumes all 'With Minutes of Evidence and Appendices'. Containing an enormous quantity of information within the minutes and supporting material.

15 leaves, folio. In fair condition, with light signs of age and wear. N.B. Entirely blank: not filled-in or completed. Each leaf with thumb-index tab in oak cloth. In black cloth quarter-binding with marbled covers. Each opening or double-page spread is divided into 14 columns: Date of Registration; Number; Name; Date of Birth; Age. Years; Occupation; Residence; Lenght of Residence [In State; In County; In Precinct]; Is he exempt from payment of poll tax as a prerequisite to voting?; If naturalized [Date of Papers; By What Court Issued]; If Transferred. When and to What Precinct.

xiii + 457pp., 12mo. In green printed wraps. In good condition, on lightly aged and worn paper. Divided into 14 sections (from 'Composition and General Organization of the Medical Services of the Army' to 'Regulations affecting the Royal Air Force'), with 56 appendices ('Sanitary Reports' to 'Contents of Case of Tracheotomy Instruments'). Scarce: no copy of this 1943 issue traced on either COPAC or OCLC WorldCat (and only four of the 1938 version). From a small archive of material belonging to Daphne Kayton of the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Printed in purple ink on both sides of a 9 x 11.5 cm grey card with rounded edges. In very good condition. One side attractively printed, with fancy type, decorative border and floral vignette. The other more businesslike, headed 'W. J. Little, Stationery, Library, and Useful Present Depot, Next London and South Western Bank, High Street, Harlesden, N.W.' and carrying a list of prices for 'Special Value Writing Papers'. The printers' details are not given, but the item comes from the archive of Cheney & Sons, 'General, Commercial & Artistic Printers, Banbury'.

The Victoria County History volume for the County of Oxford, Banbury Hundred, describes the firm of Stone & Son as an 'important firm [...] founded by Henry Stone, a Banbury bookseller, who in 1871 started to manufacture a patent letter-filing box invented by his brother-in-law, John Cash of Coventry; first the business developed into general cabinet-making and cardboard-box manufacture, then into high-grade colour printing, and finally into fine-art reproduction.

On two bifoliums, with four of the eight sides blank, with the reason for the arrangement stated at the head of the title: 'N.B. - The four pages following this Title may be separated, and pasted on a board.' In fair condition, on aged paper, with remains of the paper on which the two bifoliums were mounted on the blank reverses of the second leaves of both. Contemporary ownership inscription at head of title of William Dole Bushell of Taff Vale Railway.

Printed on both sides of a piece of paper., 75 x 102cm. In very good condition, on lightly-aged and worn paper. Designed to be placed on a barrack wall, but with no evidence of having been put up. A striking piece of graphic design, with a boldly-coloured map beneath a thick green curving masthead on the front, and another black and white map in the bottom left-hand corner. Headings to the text read: 'Churchill's Return', 'The Russian Tide', 'The Nazi Line', 'After Tunisia . .

Printed on both sides of a piece of paper roughly 38 x 100 cm. In fair condition, on lightly-aged and creased paper. Folded four times. The outer side, printed in black and white, carries the article on the Soviet Union, with thirteen photographs (including ones of Stalin and four other party leaders) and a large map. The other side carries the ABCA Map Review No. 2, covering the period from 23 November to 6 December 1942, with large coloured map, and dealing with seven themes from 'Russia' to 'The Prospects for Italy' and 'The War against Want'. An attractive piece of modern design.

Printed on both sides of a piece of paper roughly 38 x 100 cm. In good condition, on lightly-aged and creased paper. Folded four times. The outer side, printed in black and white, carries the article on 'the vast broadcasting network which spreads across the world from Britain', with large stylised map, with BBC microphone, indicating 'The BBC broadcasts day and night in 47 languages, to 200,000,000 listeners every week.'.

Folio, iv + 56 pp. Stitched. In original blue printed wraps. Text clear and complete. Internally good, on lightly-aged high-acidity paper. Wraps worn and a little chipped, with a few closed tears. Wraps carrying Hull University withdrawal stamps.

With full-page plate carrying eight figures 'from micro-photographs by Mr. C. A. Coventon', and a full-page coloured plan of the 'Section of Dolcoath Main Lode'. Three copies listed on COPAC.

4to, 2 pp, with four-line postscript on the third page. Bifolium. Twenty-two lines. Text clear and complete. Fair, on aged and dusty paper. Addressed, with two postmarks, on the reverse of the second leaf. Regarding the payment of a bill. He has come to Birmingham to collect 'many accounts in this neighbourhood - and sometime overdue', but was 'impeded on my journey at Oxford'. As a result he is sending 'my acceptance at 1 days for £100 as it would be better that you should receive it on the 13th than the 14th - the day it is due'.

4to (27.5 x 21.5 cm), 140 pp on shiny art paper. In original light-green red and black printed wraps. Tight, on lightly-aged paper, a little dog-eared at back. In worn and chipped wraps. Filled with striking and attractive engraved illustrations and advertisements. Illustrations include stock cabinets, book presses, printing presses, ledgers, notebooks, artists' materials, magnifying glasses. Long obituary of Edward Lloyd of Lloyd's News.

8vo (dimensions of leaf roughly 265 x 180 mm): twenty-four unpaginated pages on twelve leaves, with four pages in a bifolium inserted, and a price list printed on one side of a loose leaf. Unbound. Stitched as issued. Good, clean and tight, on lightly-aged paper with a little spotting to the outside pages.

On one side of a piece of wove paper roughly 220 x 280 mm. Good, on lightly aged and creased paper, with a few short closed tears to extremities. Cheaply but effectively printed in a variety of point sizes. Reads '£1 REWARD | LOST, on Monday Evening, December 16, either on the Motor-bus between Oxford and Witney, or in Witney, A Lady's Gold Wrist-Watch & Bracelet | Engraved on the back, P.E.B., Dec. 28, 1921. | A Reward of £1 will be paid to anyone bringing the same to the Police Station at Witney, or to the County Police Station, New Road, Oxford.'

Dimensions roughly six inches by three and a half. Wormed (but only affecting two letters of text) on aged paper. One page, blank reverse. Wood cut at head, roughly one and a quarter inches square, illustrating a leather-bound book with clasps. Thirty-three lines of text, beginning 'At the Bible in Newgate-street, over against the Blue-Coat Hospital Gate.
