1p., 12mo. In very good condition, on lightly-aged paper. Headed: 're Laing's Sea Kings of Norway'. In an attractive and distinctive hand, he writes: 'Dear Sir / I am quit of my Examn. work at Oxford and propose to call on you with reference to final settlement of terms on Friday morning next. I shall bring with me complete program of work etc | I am yours faithfully | Frck York Powell'.

3pp., 4to. On bifolium. Very good, on lightly-aged paper, with thin strip of paper from mount adhering to reverse of second leaf, which is addressed, with half of a black wax seal, 'For | Mrs. Richards | Bampton.' This copy was made within a month of the composition of the poem, for the wife of a fellow Fellow of Oriel College, Oxford. The recto of the second leaf carries the following note by Mant: 'with Mr. Mant's best compliments to Mrs. Richards. | Oriel Coll. June 15th. 1803.' Beneath this, in a contemporary hand (presumably that of Mrs Parker): 'Afterwards Bishop of Down & Connor'.

All items good, on lightly-aged paper. Ross's letter: 12mo, 1 p. Thanking Buckler for the piece of 'Orielania', and giving some information regarding the poet's connection with the college. The other items bound in grey boards with 'Edward Buckler 1936' on the spine. W. H. Buckler's monogram, with its original grey printed wraps, i + 5 pp (paginated 349-353). The title and relevant pages of the article '120. EDWARD BUCKLER' in 'Notes & Queries for Somerset and Dorset, June 1937, i + 4 pp (paginated 121-124).

8vo, xvi + 57 pp. Final blank leaf. Stitched as issued. Text clear and complete. Aged and worn, with damp bloom to prelims and final leaves. INSCRIPTION, in Pusey's hand, at head of title, 'Rev. The Master of Balliol | with the author's respects'. Sermon on Exod. xiv. 13'. Preface begins 'Non-resistance or passive obedience, in the sense to which they are generally limited, are but two sides of the same doctrine, and, together, are only a particular application of a general principle.'

Parkinson received the degree of Master of Arts from Oriel College, Oxford, but took up art and drew the cartoons for Judy magazine, 1890-96. One page, 12mo. Very good if a tad grubby. Folded once. Attractive illustration, roughly two inches square, in top left-hand corner, showing the head and shoulders of a 'Gibson girl' type beauty, in dress with leg o'mutton sleeves, looking over her left shoulder. Clearly responding to request for autograph, the text reads 'Most willingly | Yours faithfully | Wm Parkinson. | Aug 5. 1900. | "Dearhurst" | Streatham | London. S.W.'
