Early draft in pencil, heavily corrected with deletions and emendations. Begins: 'It was the merest accident that we went to Lisdoonvarna. Our ambition was to get from Spiddle, where we had been attending the opening of a summer school of Irish, to Killaglin in Kerry in time for the Fair'. TWO. Second draft chapter headed: 'Puck Fair: an Irish Medley | By Robert Lynd'. 48pp., 4to, in notebook.

8pp., 8vo. Saddle-stitched into grey printed wraps. Printed in double column. In fair condition, on aged paper, in worn wraps. Inscribed at head of front cover to 'Profr. Richardson | with R. M. Butler's compts.' Covering the history of the city from the time of Ptolemy to the advent of the electric tram. Ends by noting the extensive rebuilding in the city, 'in part due to the reconstruction of areas destroyed in 1916 and 1922'. Scarce: no copies on COPAC or OCLC WorldCat.

The items gathered here comprise telegrams of copy sent from Ireland by Robert Lynd to his Fleet Street newspaper, the London Daily News, together with manuscripts of his editors on the paper, and his own collection of newspaper cuttings of his articles, some gathered together with a view of publication in book form, together with some articles by other writers, relating to the 'Black and Tan' period.The first item in this list is a document of particular historical importance.

1p., 4to. On a leaf removed from an autograph album, under the date 'MAY 1', and within a red and green decorative border. The poem consists of sixteen lines in four stanzas, the first stanza reading: 'When the time comes for me to die, | To morrow - or some other day - | If God should bid me make reply: | "What wilt thou?" - I shall say,'. (In the published version 'What wilt thou?' reads 'What woud'st thou?') On the reverse of the leaf is a text and signature by an "Ethel Mengens".

2pp., 12mo. On leaf with mourning border. In good condition, lightly-aged, with neat repair to a short closed tear. He is returning a memorandum, 'which is quite correct & may be acted on', and has made a payment of £380 to his account with Drummonds Bank.

21pp., 8vo. On title-page: 'This Lecture, the substance of which forms part of an unpublished work, is reprinted for the Married Women's Property Committee, with the permission of the author.' In fair condition, aged and with minor staining to title, no wraps, disbound.
