2pp., on a folio sheet (63 x 36cm). In fair condition, on aged and lightly-worn paper. Not filled in. Stamped '577' in red. One side listing the newspapers available from the Monday to the Friday of the week, and the other giving those on the Saturday, 'Odd Papers', 'BRANCHES' and 'TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUPPLIES'. A range of periodicals is listed, including local and national newspapers, 'Continental Publications', comics ('Sparky', 'Wham' and 'Smash'), specialist ('Architect and Building News') and hobby ('Philatelic Mag.') magazines, 'Bolton Journal Series'

The eleven parts are uniform, headed from 'SERIES A. Series No. 1' to 'SERIES A. Paper No. 11'. Totalling 57 pp., folio, with the eleven parts separately paginated: 18 + 18 + 3 + 3 + 4 + [1] + [1] + [1] + [1] + 6 + [1]. The first part is followed by three lithographed plates (the second a foldout) by Dangerfield of Covent Garden, from designs by 'F. A. Abel' and each dated and with his facsimile signature.

12mo, 15 pp. Stitched as issued. Text clear and complete on aged, worn and foxed paper. Can be dated from references in text, and from quotation on title from 'Arthur Arnold, M.P.' (Arnold's career in the House of Commons ending in 1885). Carries a few contemporary marks in light pencil, and a column in shorthand on the blank reverse of the last leaf. Excessively scarce: no copy in the British Library, on COPAC or on WorldCat.
