The list of officers and members is printed on one side of a piece of 49 x 31 cm paper. In fair condition, on aged and worn paper, with slight damage caused by removal from an album. The Club's President is named as Herbert, the Treasurer as Viscount Wolmer MP of University College, and the Secretary as E. W. Benison of Magdalen. Five committee members are named, followed by the members in alphabetical order in two columns, from 'Amery, L. S., All Souls College' to 'Yerburgh, R. D. T., University College'.

Declining, in polite terms, to comply with her request that he consent to put his signature to 'a paragraph about myself, for the purpose of publication'. He explains that he would be 'very sorry that anything should be printed about me which I myself had [not] dictated or signed'.

Printed on one side of a piece of 17 x 12 cm paper. Aged and worn, and trimmed down. Reminiscent of another Victorian spoof obituary - that which led to the Ashes cricket series between England and Australia - the full text reads: 'LOST, STOLEN, OR STRAYED, | THE | BRITISH LION. | Whoever finds him is hereby requested to KEEP him, as he is no longer of any use. | N.B. - He was last seen with his Tail between his Legs. | Obituary. | On Monday, the 27th inst., of a severe attack of Non-intervention and Court intrigue, | THE | BRITISH LION, | His end was - Peace ! !

On one side of a piece of 40 x 32 cm paper. A printed form, completed in manuscript. Docketted on reverse: 'Richard Lee | 9240 acres | Copy Grant | Examd | fee 43 cents'. On aged high-acidity paper, with tears along crease lines repaired with archival tape. At foot, in manuscript: 'A Copy | attest | M M Foster RLO | By E. A. Macurdy D.R.' The grant is described over seventeen lines, the land referred to in the document being in the 'County of Fayette on the Main fork at Licking'.

On 17 x 19cm piece of paper. In fair condition, on aged paper, with trace of previous mount on blank reverse. Embossed with the four-penny government stamp. Reads: 'October 13th. 1791 | Recd. of the Rt. Honble John Boydell Twenty two pounds fourteen Being the Ballance [sic] in full for Engraving | Robt Dodd | £22 .. 14 . 0'.

2pp., 4to. On worn and aged paper, unobtrusively repaired with archival tape. The prospectus is on one side of the leaf, headed in capitals 'Money obtained by the sale of war savings certificates will be used by the Commonwealth for war purposes only.' The reverse carries the 'Form of Application for Commonwealth of Australia 4 1/2 Per Cent. 3 Years' War Savings Certificate.' The form has been completed and signed by Lieutenant J. Moss, at Selborne Chambers, Howard Street, Perth, with an application for £875.

1p., 4to. Bifolium. Addressed on reverse of second leaf to 'His Grace The Duke of Wellington | London | Europe'. With postmark of 'LIVERPOOL SHIP'. In fair condition, on aged paper. 47 lines of closely-written text. A ranting missive, the reading of which requires Wellington's sense of duty.

The seven items are in good overall condition, on aged and lightly-worn paper. ONE: Mimeographed typed press release from Conservative Central Office: 'The Rt. Hon. Edward Heath, M.B.E., M.P. (Bexley) | Leader of the Opposition | Statement about the Rt. Hon. Enoch Powell, M.P.' 'Release time: 22.30 Hours/21st April, 1968'. 2pp., foolscap 8vo. Begins: 'I have tonight been in touch with Mr Enoch Powell and told him of my decision, taken with the greatest regret, that he should no longer be invited to attend the Shadow Cabinet.

The section on Taylor covers the first two pages, with the first page is headed 'Works of John Taylor not yet issued by the Spenser Society | The numbers on the left hand are those in Hazlitts Handbook under the head of Taylor. The numbers on the right hand are those of the number of leaves in each work to which the left hand number refers.' No titles are given, only the number in Hazlitt. The rest of the document is devoted to Wither, this time with titles given.

5pp., foolscap 8vo. In fair condition, on aged paper, with wear to corner (not affecting text). With deletions and emendations. The letter begins: 'Dr. Reed in his letter dated July 30th has truly stated that both in my Reports and in private conversation I have borne testimony to the great usefulness of the Fever Hospital or "House of Recovery" at Monsall.
