[10] + 179pp. Seven fold outs, comprising five tables, a 'Chart showing terms used in Gurkha relationships', and a coloured 'Skeleton Map of Nepal | Showing Distribution of Tribes' ('Published under the direction of Colonel Commandant E. A. Tandy, R.E., Surveyor General of India.') Internally in good condition, lightly aged and worn, in worn binding with black cloth spine and cream boards with printed front cover, which carries the ownership signature of 'Phillips'. Ex Libris of R. A. Scoates on front pastedown.

An attractive piece of Victorian commercial printing. Printed in black on a 31.5 x 21 cm sheet of grey paper. In very good condition, lightly-aged. Beneath the words 'John Blanch & Sons' | Hammerless Ejector Gun | (PATENT)' is the engraving (roughly 8.5 x 15 cm), showing the area around the hinge-pin and trigger of the gun, with a cartridge.

Both letters in very good condition, neatly written out on lightly-aged paper. ONE: 2pp., 4to.

On one side of an 11 x 17.5 piece of light-blue paper. In good condition, on lightly-aged paper, with two fold lines (not affecting signature). The signature is written in pencil, and reads 'Rambahadur Limbu V.C.' Beneath the signature, in blue ink, is the signature of 'Ranjit Rai', and beneath this, in a different blue ink, an indecipherable signature. With newspaper cutting, dated 28 September 1966, of article titled 'After the glory - it's back to the jungle'. The article carries two photographs of Limbu.

Copies of this document were sent by the War Office to the officers commanding the various corps, the Secretary of State considering that it would 'assist [them] in preparing Regulations for the government of the Corps under [their] Command'. Each of the three photographs measures roughly 19 x 23.5 cm, and each is mounted on a piece of card roughly 29 x 35 cm, with a decorative red border around the photograph. The photographs are lightly-faded but in good condition, on aged and worn mounts. Each mount is stamped in purple: 'Lakhimpur Battalion, | Assam Military Police'. In contemporary manuscript, in the bottom left-hand corner of each photograph is 'Dibrugarh | 18.6.91'.

All texts clear and complete. All four items in fair condition on lightly-aged paper, with occasional light wear along folds. ITEM ONE: Autograph testimonial by 'F. G. Lucas | Brigr. General | late Comdr. 42nd. Infy. Brigade M.E.F.' Dated 26 April 1919. 12mo, 1 p. He always found Barton 'active, intelligent and hard working, and he did noticeably well while on an independent appointment'. ITEMS TWO AND THREE. Autograph testimonial by 'Badcock Lt Col. | 2/6th. G. R.' 12mo, 1 p. Undated.

2 pages, 16mo. Somewhat grubby and creased, and obtrusively docketed in ink, with the phrase 'Sent off | 10th 28' written across the text on the recto. Reads 'Dear Sir, | You hoped to return my book (album) last week but no doubt the holidays interfered. I am just sending a line to say I am leaving Town for the Country for the summer early on Monday next so hope it may be returned this week | Yours sincy | E Lechmere'.
