The title-page has been inscribed by the husband of a member of the Powys Society who was giving the booklet to Margaret Eaton, bookseller (Peter Eaton), also a member of the Powys Society. With tipped in ALS, "Edouard Fournié", presumably to Bailey, [printed heading name and address], Paris 16 Juin 1877, saying, "Je recois un lettre de Mr d {?] Kane dans la quelle il me dit que vous voulez bien prendre connaissance de mon Essai de Psycholigie [title underlined] et en rendre compte dans une revue.

Text and illustrations clear and complete. A scarce item (the only copy on COPAC at the V & A Libraries) on aged paper, in chipped and worn wraps, with title page creased, and some sections detached. Inscribed by the editor, at head of front wrap, 'From Edward King | to his Brother Savage W. Linnell | In Memory of a joyous afternoon in Venice. | Nov.

4to, [ii] + 12 + [ii] pp [i.e. 16 pp in toto]. Prelims paginated I-IV. Boasting of being 'the first Journal to be devoted exclusively to the interests of legal assistants'. Containing some light-hearted matter, including 'Office Yarns. No. I - The Firm and the Feminine', 'Relevant Irrelevancies', but also with reviews ('The Law Book-Worm') and columns containing useful information ('Municipal Mems', 'Practice').

Seven pages, 8vo, sewn as issued, very good condition, with additional leaf inserted (one printed page), edges staine. The insertion is a Postscript on gun cotton. Two copies on COPAC.

16pp., 8vo, blue printed wraps, some staining, cobver and contents slightly askew, mainly good condition. Someone has added "First" before the word "Judgment" on wraps as well as the title-page. The writer gives a history of Drury Lane to explain the fact that Daunay was a "new renter" (subscriber) asserting privileges, Chatterton being the Theatre Manager.

58pp., 12mo, beige printed wraps, spine nicked, small amount of staining and other wear and tear, mainly good condition. The suggestion by Chaterton to Kenney was "to publish a pamphlet containing an account of the pecuniary successs and losses which attended the different plays I have produced during my management of Drury Lane". COPAC records only one real copy (at BL) others being electronic resources.

Printed pamphlet, 24pp., 8vo,sewn as issued, wraps grubby, contents good. Inscribed Jacob Waley, [?] with the author's respects. Jacob Waley was the first president of the Anglo-Jewish Association and Professor of Political Economy at University College London.

Colophon: "Here endeth the story of Hand & Soul by Dante Gabrile Rossetti which has been set in eighteen-point Garamond type. Designed and printed by Leonard Jay; assisted by Vernon S. Ganderton, presswork; Henry S. Sands, decorative title page; A. Michael Fletcher and Frances Woof, lettering. Sixty-five copies only have been printed on an Hayle Milltoned paper in black, red, and green, for private circulation only." It's followed by Jay's Phoenix device.

4to, [16] pp. Drophead title. Disbound and with some leaves loose. Text clear and complete. On aged paper. From Patron King George III and President Sir Joseph Banks to the last of the 'Foreign Members' 'D. Eustatius Zanotti, Astronom. Bonon.' Scarce: the only copy on COPAC at the British Library.

Pamphlet, 'Published for the Information of Officers of the Quartermaster's Department', 9pp.,12mo, original grey printed wraps, good, on aged paper, in worn and stained wraps, tiny cross shape neatly punched through the leaves in bottom outer corner.

All items good, on lightly-aged paper. Ross's letter: 12mo, 1 p. Thanking Buckler for the piece of 'Orielania', and giving some information regarding the poet's connection with the college. The other items bound in grey boards with 'Edward Buckler 1936' on the spine. W. H. Buckler's monogram, with its original grey printed wraps, i + 5 pp (paginated 349-353). The title and relevant pages of the article '120. EDWARD BUCKLER' in 'Notes & Queries for Somerset and Dorset, June 1937, i + 4 pp (paginated 121-124).

8vo, iv + 26 pp. In modern grey boards. Text clear and complete. On aged paper, with small holes to first two leaves (not affecting text). The imprint is fictitious. A sequel to 'A Fragment' (London, 1750), a satire on the election of the Duke of Newcastle to the Chancellorship of the University of Cambridge in July 1749. Described in the 'Editor's Preface' as a 'learned, elaborate, curious and antient Fragment, [...] communicated to me by a celebrated Gomerian, Professor of the University of Combrigue'. Attributed to the elder Stebbing by Halkett and Laing, and to the younger in ESTC.
