23 x 20.5 cm colour print of publicity photograph of a smiling formally-dressed Kennedy, arms crossed before him, on 28 x 21.5 cm piece of paper. In good condition, lightly aged and worn at the edges. Inscribed in blue pen, beneath the image: 'To Karen - | My best | Ted Kennedy | '83'. The year is written within the loop of the 'y' of Kennedy's signature.

It concludes with the ref. A-17266-AC. B. (attached by staple) Stevenson Address at Fordham University (A Relesase from the UNited States Information Service, American Embassy, London).

All three items in very good condition, on lightly-aged paper. Third letter in its envelope, addressed to Hodson at Bradbourne Hall, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. ONE: Despite the letterhead written from Italy, as the text shows. 4pp., 12mo. Typed. The 'stress of the election' has delayed his response. 'I am writing now in the train from Naples to Rome and everything I have seen since has helped to convince me that you are right. Mussoline [sic] in this country would be a man after your own heart.

Stapled into white printed covers, with 'ransom note' design on front and facsimile on back of letter from the Warren Commission members to the President of the United States, 24 September 1964. Very good, on lightly-aged paper. The document ends, under the publication details on the last page: 'Meanwhile back at the peanut farm: A PRESIDENT FOR AMERICA | The difference between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter is one of style and personality. Theirs [sic] policies are remarkably similar. | The Economist Oct.

1p., 16mo. In good condition, on aged paper, neatly laid down on a paper mount. Written in a bold hand with an attractive signature. The note reads: 'Woodbridge | 2/6/1847 | My dear Sir | I scribble this to accompany the two copies of the Memorial referr'd to in my other note of this date. | Thine in haste | [signed] B Barton'.

4to (25 x 17.5 cm), 16 pages. Stapled. Colour throughout. In good condition, on lightly-aged paper. An interesting piece of Kennedy ephemera, using the comic-book medium in a serious manner at the beginning of the 'Pop Art' era. Attractively and professionally drawn, and laid out in panels like a Marvel or DC Comic. Giving a positive account of Kennedy's background and political activities (for example his 'forward looking stand on U.S. domestic issues'). Caption to last panel reads 'On January 20, 1961 Kennedy and Johnson were inaugurated President and Vice President for a four year term.

Folio, 1 page. Good, on lightly-aged paper, with an edge of the blank reverse bearing a small strip of the grey mount. A formal letter, attractively presented. He is 'directed by the Trustees of the British Museum, in the absence of the Secretary', to convey their thanks for the 'obliging Present to the Museum Collection of Prints, of a Portrait of the late Paul Colnaghi Esqr. Engraved by R Easton, proof'. Interestingly, the National Portrait Gallery does not possess any portrait of Paul Colnaghi.

12mo, 4 pp. Bifolium. Good, on aged paper. He has been 'hunting among papers, & found a great quantity of notable letters from notable people but they are mostly confidential - or dealing with some private matters'. He would have liked to gratify her wishes 'in a more liberal fashion, 'but I hope the enclosed may serve'. He wonders whether she is 'packing up for India - - perhaps for Worthing'. The valediction on the final page ('Believe me | sincerely') is followed by a large bold signature which with its underlinings covers an area 11 cm square.

One page. Dimensions of paper roughly eleven inches by seven and a half. Aged, and with fraying to extremities, but text clear and complete. 'Received by me [Elizabeth Countess Dowager of Kildare] Of the Right Honourable Thomas Townshend, Esq; One of the Four Tellers of His Majesty's Receipt of Exchequer, the Sum of [Three pounds ten shillings] in full of all former Directions of the said Order, and for [Six] Months Annuity, due at [Lady Day] last past, of [Seven] Pounds per Annum [...]'.
