Small photograph of Paul Harvey beside the title, above the following introduction: 'In a recent column Mr. Harvey, a noted commentator and journalist, strongly defended the law enforcement officer. Harvey's piece, reproduced over three columns, begins: 'Don't credit me with this mongrel prose; it has many parents; at least 420,000 of them: Policemen.

Pp.8-24 carry the 'List of Suggested Books', with prices, beginning with 'Across Texas' by E. S. Ellis, and ending with 'The Young Franc Tireurs' by G. A. Henty. The last page carries a list of 'Publishers' Names and Addresses'. Uncommon: a total of seven copies on OCLC WorldCat and COPAC, but none at the British Library.

All items 8vo, and all stapled, ranging in length from 28pp to 128pp. The run consists of the first four Annual Reports (1920 to 1923), the fifth (1924) lacking, then the sixth to ninth reports (1926-1929), and the sixteenth report (1936, with the organisation renamed the Industrial Health Research Board). The full title of Muscio's publication is 'Reports of the Industrial Fatigue Research Board. No. 12.

Educated at Marlborough and Lincoln College, Oxford. Classical Scholar, 1859; Senior Exhibitioner, Goldsmiths Company, 1861; Boden Sanskrit Scholar, 1862; in College eight and eleven; BA in 1862; MA in 1866; D. Litt. in 1902. Among his works is an edition of Eikon Basilike (Elliot Stock, 1880), and an English translation of the Eclogues of Virgil (Kegan Paul, 1884).A collection of material from Scott's personal papers.

The six items are in excellent condition, on lightly-aged paper. None of the forms have been filled in. From the Board of Education Reference Library, but with no indications of the fact. ONE: An 'enlarged copy of the front of the Occupier's Schedule' (so described in Item Five below), headed 'CENSUS OF ENGLAND AND WALES, 1911.' Printed in March 1911 by Eyre & Spottiswoode ('3/11. E. & S.'), on one side of a piece of 68 x 86 cm. paper.

9pp., foolscap 8vo. On seven leaves of grey paper, held together with green ribbon, three of the leaves carrying the embossed letterhead of the India Office. First leaf headed with printed text: 'Reference Paper. Statistics and Commerce Department', and numbered in manuscript '408'. On aged and chipped paper, with slight bloom on blank reverse of last leaf.

Printed on one side of a piece of 76 x 55 cm paper. In good condition, lightly-aged. At head of document the words 'Official Notice' and the royal crest. Folded into a 22 x 9.5 cm packet, docketted on reverse 'Statutory Notice | and | Workshop and Factory Acts'. The document begins with 'Notices. | To be filled up and signed by the Occupier.', followed by the 'Abstract', in two columns of small type, under the sub-headings 'Sanitation", 'Accidents', 'Employment and Meal Hours', 'Holidays', 'Outworkers', 'Piece Work.

4pp., foolscap 8vo. Bifolium. In fair condition, on aged paper. First page headed: 'The Edgware Road Fire | The proprietor of "The Daily Telegraph" have as hitherto on similar occasions opened a Subscription list for the Sufferers and it is estimated that £3,000 will be required to meeet the urgent claims for relief which are already too well known | I shall be glad to receive any donations you may be pleased to give on their behalf | (JNER.)'. Arranged in eight columns, two to a page, with running totals and a grand total of £16 1s 0d. The first donation is for 10s 6d from 'Mr.

The archive contains around 280 letters, two packets and negatives, various postcards, brochures and a driving licence. It contains around 260 letters from Robert Cole to his parents in Littlehampton, Sussex, England during the time he took up a Government position with the Federation of Malaya Fisheries Department in 1952 (Penang and Malacca, where he worked, remained Crown Territories within the Federation); and about 20 letters from his wife Cicely to Rosalind Cole.

Green cloth bookmark with printed advertisement 'pour la Toilette des Dames'. An attractively-designed volume, with a marked Art Nouveau feel, the highlight of which is the set of twelve full-page illustrations of the seasons on art paper by Fabiano.
