Although it is 'unnecessary' , she is writing 'in Sidney's name to implore for your Vote & interest on Friday next as against the Govt. - Independently of the grave question at issue as regards India no friend of Lord Canning's can be indifferent to the base & ungenerous treatment he has received'. Sidney is writing to the Bishop of Salisbury 'in the same sense', and if he cannot come to London for the vote, he will, she hopes, 'send his proxy'. Docketed on reverse 'Authoress'.

12mo, 3 pp. Regarding the 'assigning of an income to the Regius Professor of Medicine out of the Ewelme Charity': 'I trouble you with a line to say that I have recommended the allowance of £250 a year, and that when the revenues of the Charity shall reach £1000 a year, it shall be submitted to the Court to increase the amount to £300 or £350'. Asks if there is 'any other matter connected with my office upon which you would wish for information, before I seek a week or two's repose? (of which I have had none, not even for an hour since I came into office.)'.

Letter One (Archbishop of Canterbury] 3pp., 12mo, approving Wigan's actions in the burial of the child whose baptism was irregular and defective. He was right to toll the bell, and depositing the body of the child in the churchyard. He wants time to consider the right steps in such an important matter for 'similar cases which perhaps may be brought forward .... Letter Two: This copy letter, a rough draft in Alfred Wigan's hand, explains the situation with the dead child of followers of Joanna Southcott. They were said to have no intention of asking for Burial ...

WorldCat also lists Yael and Chicago copies. COPAC lists one other title under Daman's name, "Ten letters introductory to college residence" (1848)

Scarce: no copy of this edition on COPAC, and only three other copies of nineteenth-century editions, those of 1854, 1855 and 1879, the unique copies of all three being at the British Library. By the 1879 edition the organisation was renamed the Society of Christian Israelites, and based at Ashton-under-Lyme.

8vo, 136 pp. The original sheets of the second edition of 1812, in purple wraps printed in 1920. Text clear and complete. Grubby, on aged paper, with top edge badly trimmed; wraps creased. Excessively scarce: the only copy of this 1812 second edition on COPAC at University College London (like this copy with 'Caption [sic] title'). The accompanying card, with London postmark of 9 March 1938, is addressed to the printer of the wraps, 'Mr J. M. Stitt | Clock House Lane | Ashford | Mddx | "Clock House Press". It consists of 25 lines written with the postcard turned to portrait shape.

Copies were abviously sent to church (ands other) personnel, this one being addressed possibly in Southcott's sprawling hand[papers in the BL only indicate that people did her writing for her - I've yet to find a sample beyong a signature] to the Church Warden | Bedfont, East | Middlesex || for the Curate. He is sending a 'leaf of the Leeds Mercury containing a review of your Life of your father, which is good & appreciative', along with a copy of one of his sermons (neither enclosure present). Not having yet seen the book, he asks if he 'put in the extraordinary prophecy which your father made in March or April 1892 of the numbers of members who were to be elected in the July of that year?' He has 'the letter he wrote to Fanny with the exact number', and wishes he had reminded him of that fact before.

The full title reads: 'Articles of Visitation and Inquiry, Concerning Matters Ecclesiastical, given to the Ministers, Church-Wardens, and Sidesmen, of every Parish within the Diocese of Lincoln, at the Triennial Visitation of the Right Rev. This copy is significant in that the author and recipient are identified in a contemporary hand on the title-page. The only copy listed on COPAC, at the British Library, is unattributed.

Printed on one side of a piece of vellum, 19 x 20 cm. With two government stamps but lacking the Archbishop's seal. Copy of grant of administration to Walsh's daughter Philis, the estate being sworn under three hundred pounds. Mention made of Walsh's two other daughters, Katharine and Margaret. Ostensibly written on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury by George Gostling, James Townley and Robert Dodwell, Deputy Registers.

The writer of this manuscript reveals that Lord Gambier was in the Chair and then summarises what various people contributed to the discussion, columnising names then summary.
